We are very excited to announce that Jan and Karis will be traveling with Patrick to Papua New Guinea this summer!!! We will be with him for a little over a month and then Patrick will stay for about 7 more weeks to complete the school term.

Meanwhile, the school year and summer have been full-on with Clarkston ministries.

Parc 1000 Summer Club

Clarkston International Bible Church: Camp Encounter

Karis worked as a co-director of the camp.

Clarkston Cru Club Highlights – 2022-23

  • One of our students helped to design a club t-shirt. This is the front.
  • This is the back.
  • Christmas party. Students had to draw a winter scene on a plate that was on top of their head.
  • White elephants results! This was the first time many had played.
  • My “Cru Coach” in Florida generously offered a scholarship for 4 of our students to attend a Cru conference during the Christmas break. (2 of these leaders went with them and 2 more of us are just farewelling them.)

Praise!

  1. Visa approvals for Patrick, Jan, and Karis came in time for us to make the trip this summer!
  2. Parc 1000 had a good first two weeks and we have great summer interns and summer teams to keep it going.
  3. Camp Encounter has had a record number of campers and is already maxed out at 120 children.

Pray for:

  1. Safe travels. It’s about 23 hours of flying time. And pray our luggage arrives with us!
  2. The Lord will give Karis a special time of reconnecting with people and places in what is home to her.
  3. The Lord will use Jan to encourage the staff and students at the college.
  4. Patrick as he prepares and teaches the Book of Acts and Eschatology (the study of end times).
  5. Benjamin will survive a month on his own!

    So wonderful to see how God is using you and your kids! I love seeing you rich full ministry which is affecting PNG, DC, and Atl so faithfully!! Glad the three of you can travel to PNG together- hope it’s fabulous!! Safe travels!
